Paula was born on February 12, 1963, in Cherokee, IA. She was the beloved daughter of Bonnie Sohm and the late Richard Sohm. She passed away on June 2, 2026, at her home from COPD.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Dale Roberts; her father, Richard Sohm; a precious angel baby, born asleep; and her nephew, Jordan Sohm.

Paula is lovingly remembered by her mother, Bonnie Sohm; her son, Mark Roberts; her daughter, Amanda (Jason) Foytik, her granddaughters, Tabby (Jamal Evans) Roberts and Arabella Roberts; and her great-grandchildren, Samara Jade Evans and Orion Dale Evans. She is also survived by her siblings: Dawn (Terry) Newton, Karla Sohm, Kimberly (Wayne) Michaels, Mike (Mel) Sohm, Charlie Sohm, and Jody (Donny) Weiand; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who meant so much to her.

Paula loved her family deeply and found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments—hosting Easter egg hunts at her home, gathering loved ones for painting parties, and filling every get-together with laughter. She especially enjoyed playing cards, including favorites like maneuver, cribbage, and canasta.

She enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, even running a bait shop for a period of time, and took pride in tending her garden. Creative at heart, Paula expressed herself through embroidery and painting porcelain dolls.

Paula concluded her career with Butte County, where she was dedicated and proud of her work. In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts and treasured the time spent with her mother and sisters.

Paula will be remembered for her love, her strength, and her unwavering devotion to the people she held close.

A celebration of Paula’s life will be held at 6:00pm, Monday, June 8, 2026 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. A rosary will be held prior to the service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Bobby, after the service.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
