Patricia Jean Kellsy of Spearfish and formerly of Winner, SD, died Thursday, November 09, 2017 at Serenity Corner Assisted Living in Spearfish.

Patricia was born June 1, 1940 in Winner. She was raised in the Hamill and Witten areas. She married Raymond Sampson in Winner and to this marriage three children were born, Jeff, Debbie and Rick. At a young age she was always around cafes, as her parents owned a café in Witten for several years. She was always a waitress and was a very good one. She loved doing this and loved meeting new customers all the time. She would still talk about favorites ones she had, whether if it was in Hill City, Deadwood, Sheridan Lake, Belle Fourche or in Three Forks, MT. Those who knew her knew she was a little ornery and a little stubborn. That stubbornness helped her with her fight against cancer, as she beat it and had been remission free for more than two years. She loved the Black Hills and living there. She had just moved to an assisted living near Spearfish before her passing, we believe she waited to get back to where she called home.

Patricia is survived by her children; Jeff (Kris) Sampson of Winner, Debbie Davis of Belle Fourche and Rick Sampson of Lead, one sister, Bev Finnegan of Three Forks, five grandchildren; Justin (Danille) Sampson, Tyler Sampson, Ryan (Kristin) Sampson, RaeDell Rubis and KC (Amanda) Davis, six great-grandchildren; Reece Sampson, Presley & Barritt Sampson, Bodey & Charlie Sampson and Madison Davis and several nieces and nephews, who she loved playing cards with on holidays.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Roseland Jordan, sister, Gayle Long, husbands, Raymond Sampson and Bud Kellsy.
