Noreine A. Richard, 93, of Spearfish, SD, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, in the company of her family.

Noreine was born in Bowman County, ND on July 14, 1932, to Alice and Bryan Feist. She attended Country School in Bowman County and graduated from High School in Bowman, ND. She married Dale M. Richard on December 14, 1950, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Bowman, ND, and they made their home in Bowman until they retired in Spearfish Canyon of South Dakota. They raised four sons: Allen (Roni) of Bismarck, ND, Rick (Debbie) of Bridger, MT, Myles (Terri) of Howell, MI, and Wayne of Spearfish, SD.

Noreine was principally a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She participated in Cub Scouts of America, St. Charles Catholic Church in Bowman, ND, and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish, SD. She sang in church choir, taught Catholic Catechism, and volunteered at Black Hills Passion Play for many years. She loved many arts and crafts and Noreine and Dale enjoyed square dancing and round dancing. She, with her family, loved camping, snowmobiling, concerts, and opera theater.

Although Noreine and Dale loved their Spearfish Canyon home and their winter home in Mesa, AZ, they traveled extensively, visiting their family and seeing new parts of the world. She spent the last 22 years of her life with her son Wayne, attending Mass at St. Joseph, St. Paul, St. Francis of Assisi, and The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She was well known in those parishes where she had many close friends of all ages.

Noreine is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and her husband. She is survived by one sister, Carolyn Voss, of Rapid City, her four sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
