Nicholas Jeffery "Nick" Sukstorf died Friday, April 26, 2013, near Spearfish. Nick, the only son of Jeffery and Rebecca (Thomas) Sukstorf, was born Oct. 4, 1988 in Spearfish, SD. He grew up in Spearfish with the best backyard an active boy could wish for. Nick was a 2007 graduate of Spearfish High School. He was a soccer player and played guitar and baritone in the school band. Since graduation Nick has worked for Lenny and Cassie Gomez and Captain Clean of the Northern Black Hills.

Nick was a life-long member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, where he was baptized and confirmed. Nick had a deep faith and always left church with a smile.

From the time Nick was a young boy, he loved the outdoors and living life to its fullest. His greatest passions were playing guitar and mountain biking. He loved to ride fast and fly through the air. Nick opened his heart and door to anyone who needed a friend, a joke, or place to stay. His loving, caring soul will be forever missed by hundreds of friends and family members. Nick's kind, gentle smile and wonderful sense of humor brought joy to everyone who knew him. He treasured his friends and family with all his heart.

Nick's memory will be forever cherished by his parents, Jeff and Becky Sukstorf of Spearfish; sisters, Anna Gatz and husband Josh and Elise Sukstorf of Spearfish; niece and nephews, Mac and Victoria Fischer, Jonah and Gabriel Gatz of Spearfish: aunts and uncles, Steve and Mikki Thomas of Gillette, Wyoming and Mike and Carol Sukstorf of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska; cousins, Angela Jones, Derek, Mike, Matt and Shadoe Sukstorf, Stephanie and Jesse Jac Thomas, and Ethan and Jacob Havenar. He will be remembered by many other family members and hundreds of friends. Nick was preceded in death by Uncles Jac Thomas and Joel Sukstorf and grandparents Reba and John Thomas and Ioma and Loyd Sukstorf.

Visitation will be Monday, April 29 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Home in Spearfish. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 30 at 11:00 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spearfish with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.
