Obituary

N. Maxine Baker, 80, of Hulett, WY, died Wednesday, January 23rd 2008 at Spearfish Regional Hospital in Spearfish, SD.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M., Saturday, January 26th 2008 at Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance, WY.

Funeral services will be at 1:30P.M. , Sunday, January 27th 2008 at the Hulett Civic Center with Pastor Tim Berkshire officiating, burial will follow at New Haven Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to benefit the Hulett Ambulance Service and Hulett A.G. Sunday School.

Maxine was born June 11th 1927 to Paul and Susie Nitcy at the family home near Oshoto, WY. She was raised around Oshoto and New Haven, attending school through the eighth grade at Poison Creek school.

Maxine married Irvin Baker on November 26th 1949. They had three children; Bruce, Marie, and Susie. The family ranched at Barlow Canyon and later moved to Poison Creek to help Maxine's mother. Maxine enjoyed music, reading, animals, hunting, gardening, and playing the piano and harmonica. She also loved her grandkids and her great-grandkids. Maxine loved a good visit and family get-togethers. Her lifestyle reflected a strong faith in the Lord.

Maxine is survived by two daughters, Susie (John) Rose of Moorcroft, WY and Marie (Larry) McCollum of Hulett, WY, son-in-law, Gary McCollum of Hulett, WY, one sister, Lena (Veryl) Stubbart of Sundance, WY, eight grandchildren; Brett McCollum, Brigett McCollum, Beth McCollum, Bart (Shauna) McCollum, Brian McCollum, Lara (Jim) Dirks, Keri (Alvin) Koski, and Lance McCollum; four great-grandkids: Meagan, Rylee, Logan, and Sarah; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Susie Nitcy, one brother, John, two sisters, Bessie and Mae, two infant sisters, Rosella and Marie, husband, Irvin, son, Bruce and great-grandson, Mason.
