Mona Waugh, 95 of Hulett, WY passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Mt. Plaza Assisted Living in Casper, WY.

She was born on January 6, 1919 to Charles and Alta (Wallace) Wood in New Haven, WY. She lived in the Hulett area most of her life. She moved to Cheyenne where she met and married Russell Holmes and lived there until his death in World War II. She then moved back home to Hulett where she met and married Charles Waugh in 1948 and they made their home there.

She was a hairdresser, a caretaker and a volunteer at the school for some time. She was well known in the Hulett area and loved by many. She loved to go rock hunting in the mountains, spending time in her garden, vacationing with her family and taking long walks. She will be remembered for her kind heart, love of children, contagious laugh and smile and an all-around fun loving lady.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Curtis) Riewe of Casper; son, Larry Waugh of Gillette; grandchildren, Mike Jensen, Tam (Jim) Teer, Cindy Lafave, Lacey (Rod) Newman and Brad Waugh; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Russell Holmes and Charles Waugh; son, Jim Waugh and twelve brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Greater Hulett Community Center in Hulett. Burial will follow at Moore Hill Cemetery in Hulett. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
