Obituary

Millicent Baker, 90, Spearfish, South Dakota, passed away February 15, 2011 under care in her home.

Millicent was born May 20, 1920, in Cape May Court House, New Jersey. She married George Baker in 1942 and enjoyed life on the Baker Crow Peak Ranch for 23 years.

Millicent enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family, her friends and her kitty companions. Millicent and George enjoyed life together dancing, listening to music and sharing special family memories. They also enjoyed special trips with their daughters.

Millicent's love and sense of humor will forever remain in the hearts of her children, family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by George Baker, her husband of 64 years and her daughter, Linda Baker-Buchholz.

Survivors include Loretta Baker-Labas of Loveland, Colorado; LoRayne Baker of Spearfish, South Dakota; Vicki Baker-Eisenbraun of Rapid City, South Dakota; Dennis Baker of South Caroloine; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; cousins in New Jersey and her lifetime childhood friend, Isabelle Springer.

Visitation will be 2-6 PM on Thursday, February 17, 2011. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, February 18, 2011 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.

A memorial has been established.
