Milannette Nelson, 77, of Lead, South Dakota passed away peacefully; went to rest with the Lord on Wednesday, August, 13, 2025 at the Rolling Hills Healthcare Center, Belle Fourche, SD.

Born June 3, 1948 in Lead, South Dakota to Milan Nelson and Esther Rossio Nelson.  She grew up and went to St. Patrick's Elementary School grades 1 through 8.  Attended the Lead High School at the 9th grade. She became disabled and could not continue. She lived with her mother all her life until she entered Assisted Living.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lead, SD.  She liked making homemade ice cream, listening to music and enjoyed walking downtown to take swimming lessons and take walks in the woods.

She is survived by her sister, Connie M. Tobin of Belle Fourche, SD. She was preceded in death by her mother, Esther Nelson and her father, Milan Nelson of Lead, SD.

A Christian burial will take place at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD on August 20, 2025.
