Michael Wayne Ordway, 59, passed away March 27, 2026, from sepsis.

Michael was born January 2, 1967, to Marvin and Sharon (Parker) Ordway in Yankton, SD.

He grew up in Spencer, NE and no matter where he was living, the cornfields and wide-open skies were always home. Mike’s love for fishing was like none other. He was the happiest with a pond and fishing pole. If he caught a fish, that was a bonus. He was a man of few words, but if you would talk fishing or football (especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers) with him, you would have his undivided attention.

Michael is survived by his mother, Sharon Ordway Putz, brother, Marlin (Mauri) Ordway, sister, Michelle (Mike) Clark, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Ordway, stepfather, Frederick Putz, Paternal and Maternal Grandparents.
