Michael J. Manderfeld, 48 of Lead died Monday, October 16, 2017 as a result of an automobile accident.

Michael was born December 16, 1968 to Diana Atanasu and Edward Manderfeld in Deadwood, SD. Michael spent many years living and working in Pennsylvania and recently moved back to South Dakota and worked at Wharf Resources. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his children participate in sporting events, watching the Oakland Raiders and spending time with his best dog friend "Bubba" at the lake. Michael was a very loving father to his children, Michael and Oliva.

Grateful to have shared in his life are his children, Oliva and Michael Manderfeld, his parents, Diana Metzger and Edward (Sandi) Manderfeld, brothers, Edward (Cathy) Manderfeld and Ron Manderfeld, former wife Linda Manderfeld, special friend, Kim Riggen, as well as many step-brothers and sisters, nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-father and grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel in Lead. Refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow at the V.F.W. in Deadwood.
