Mia Linn
Cipriaso
Dec 7, 2020 — Jun 29, 2026
With hearts deeply broken we announce the unexpected passing of Mia Linn Cipriaso age 5 on June 29, 2026 in Spearfish, SD. Mia was born to Kaycee Jo (Johnson) and Mario Cipriaso on December 7, 2020.
Though her time with us was far too short, Mia filled every day with laughter, happiness, just the right amount of sass and so much love. Her smiles and giggles were infectious with wild, untamed red hair to match her personality. Mia’s love of adventure and discovery of new things should be something we all aspire to. She loved dresses, dancing, arts and crafts, picking flowers for her mama, being outside, riding bikes with her dad, playing with Luca, making friends everywhere she went and most of all, her family.
Her parents, Kaycee and Mario, along with her brothers, Luca (age 2) and Leo (age three months) are devastated by her loss but grateful for their time with her. Luca will forever have his sissy as she watches over her whole family. Equally blessed to share Mia’s love are her grandparents, Jennifer and Brooke Leighty, Allyson and Austin Stephens, Jamie Johnson, Barry and Cynthia Cary, Mario and Marie Cipriaso, and her great grandparents, Jane and Bill Dunbar, Susan Johnson and Ron Leighty. She was deeply cherished by her Aunties Ericka Cary, Jasmine Marriner, Javoni Cary, Letrice Tate and Charlene Cary as well as Uncles Daulton and Brecken Johnson, Maddox and Nicco Stephens, and Trey Cary. Mia had several great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who she also shared her endless joy with.
Mia was met in Heaven and will be forever comforted by her great grandparents, Peggy Cressman, Betty Essick, Opal and James Dunbar, Mary and Floyd Meek, Mac, Jean and Ed Johnson, Lola and Bruce Miller, Toni Leighty, Evelyn and Bob Cooper and other close family members.
While we struggle to understand this unimaginable loss, we take comfort in remembering the love she freely gave in her five beautiful years. She will forever be our Mia Beans, Sissy, Stinker Butts, Little Turd and Beautiful Girl. Mia brought so much life and love to her family, her loss is shattering. Mia Linn is forever loved, forever missed, forever five.
Service times will be announced soon.
