Megan Marie Kellogg, 29, was born on March 3, 1986 in Spearfish, SD to Mike and Kathy Kellogg. She was called home on July 4, 2015.


Megan graduated from Spearfish High School in 2004 and later commenced study toward certification as a Pharmacy Technician. She was employed at Lynn's Dakota Mart Pharmacy in Belle Fourche. She was adored by her patrons and co-workers who were warmed by her embracing smile, fun-loving personality and contagious laugh. She found great reward in meeting the needs of the sick and elderly who presented at her station. The central joy of Megan's life was found in the love she shared with family and friends, and during her later years this joy was magnified by her growing relationship with the Lord. Megan was greatly loved by those who knew her and will be horribly missed.

Survivors include her parents, Mike and Kathy Kellogg of Spearfish; brothers, Korey Kellogg of Belle Fourche and Justin Kellogg of Spearfish; paternal grandparents, Keith and Lois Kellogg of Spearfish; niece, Makayla Lapka of Rapid City and numerous beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Kathryn Lund of Lusk, WY with whom she now abides as a matter of grace.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Solid Rock Church in Spearfish (adjacent to the Western Heritage Center) with Pastor Jim Roberts officiating. Graveside services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Megan Kellogg Memorial Fund, c/o First Interstate Bank, 311 N, 27th Ave, Spearfish, SD or to a charity of the donors' choosing.
