Maxine M. Caserio, 96 of Lead died July 4, 2024.
Maxine was born to Joseph O. and Myrtle M. Southworth at Newell, South Dakota on February 19, 1928, where she attended school. She moved to Lead, South Dakota in 1946. On August 30, 1947, she married Clifford R. Caserio. They had one son, Clifford (Ki) M. Caserio. Maxine worked at the Norwest Bank Lead Branch for 30 years, retiring on December 31, 1989. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Loyal Order of the Moose Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, sister, JoAnn Strachan, husband, Clifford R. Caserio on August 18, 2023. Surviving is her son, Clifford M. Caserio, and daughter-in-law, Beverly, and their children, Amanda Buchholz, her children, Steven, Hailey, Myah and Amara, and Victoria (Dom) Mirocke, and their children, Jackson and Grayson. Maxine's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life!
Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:00 am, on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lead. Burial for Clifford and Maxine will take place following the Mass at Black Hills National Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Black Hills Auxiliary 5969.
