Colleen Wammen, 89 of Belle Fourche, passed on to heaven on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving children.

She was born on July 19, 1927 to Eunice and Hugo Jensen and grew up near Sorum, SD. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Vernon Wammen, on August 29, 1948. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2006. They were married for 58 blissful years.

Colleen cherished her family and friends, giving generously, loving unconditionally and spreading happiness to all those who were blessed to have been in her life. She lived her life to the fullest, bringing joy, laughs and sparkles to every day. Her gracious, loving spirit lives on and will be lovingly remembered by her surviving six children and their spouses, 27 grandchildren and great grandchildren, her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and her many dear friends.

Colleen's father, Hugo, her mother, Eunice, her infant daughter, Tamara and her brother, Howard also preceded her in death.

In keeping with Colleen's wishes, a celebration of her beautiful life will take place at a later date.
