Twink was born November 19th 1954 in Isle, MN, to Kenneth and Edna (DeChaunt) Prior. Growing up she was a very hard worker and spent many hours milking cows and doing other chores on the family farm. After graduating from high school in Isle, she moved to Cambridge, MN. She was married to Greg Vanderpole and later divorced. She worked as a welder for many years. Welding was her passion and she considered it an art form. While working as a welder she met Dan Trunk and they started dating. Due to poor health she had to quit her job and in 1988 the couple moved to Wyoming. They lived in their fifth wheel trailer in the woods with no running water or electricity from 1988 until 2004. They lived off the land and enjoyed it. The couple married on April 14th 2000. They eventually bought some land outside of Sundance and in 2004 replaced their fifth wheel with a more permanent home. Through the years Twink held various jobs. The last job she held was at Crook County Memorial Nursing home in Sundance and she worked until her health would no longer permit it. Mary loved animals and always had animals around to take care of, mainly goats, cats, dogs and her horse. She had a creative mind and enjoyed welding and craft projects. Sometimes, when her health allowed, she would do yoga and other activities.

She is survived by her mother, Edna (DeChaunt) Prior of Isle, MN, her husband, Dan Trunk of Sundance, a step-daughter, Lorraine (Cody) Gustafson of Cambridge, MN, and two step-grandchildren, Cody and Cadence, one brother, Richard Prior of Sundance, and one sister, Deloris Beeler of Cambridge.
