Obituary

Mary Shepperson, 67, of Upton, Wyoming passed away on March 3, 2026. Born April 15, 1958, in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and love. Mary cherished her family above all else. She found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, whether it was playing cards or simply sitting together and sharing stories. Her love for sewing brought her closer to her sisters as they spent countless hours creating together. These moments of connection were at the heart of Mary’s life and brought her great happiness.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeri and her husband, Mike Davis of Upton, along with their children, Cam, Lane, Rylee, and Cullen; her son, Cole Shepperson and his wife, Jessica, along with their children, Haylee and Kaylee Shepperson and Cody and Baylie Pennington. Mary is also survived by her brother Rex Hockett and his wife, Sara of Arizona; her sister, Ada Vondra of Texas; and her sister Raelene Ray and her husband, Ed of Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family. Mary was proceeded in death by her parents, Wesley and Carrol Hockett; her brother, Charlie Hockett; and other loved ones who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.

Her legacy lives on through the love she shared with those around her. As a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Mary’s kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

In honor of Mary’s gentle spirit: whisper to a butterfly, and it will send the message to heaven. May this thought bring comfort to those who hold her close in their hearts.
