Obituary

Mary Shepperson, 91 of Beulah, WY passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Crook County Long Term Care in Sundance.

Mary was born on November 7, 1922, the second of 12 children born to William and Hazel (Huckins) Ames, at home in rural Moorcroft, WY. She attended country school through the 8 th grade, she met Melvin Shepperson, as youngsters they fell in love. She later traveled by train to Fall City, Oregon where Melvin worked as a lumber jack and they were married in 1941. They had two children, Bill born in Oregon and Becky Jean in Gillette. Her main hobbies and passion in life were cooking and gardening. She was employed as head cook at BHSU for over 30 years.

She was survived by her son, Bill Shepperson of Beulah, WY; four grandchildren, Debbie Richmond of Black Hawk, Vanessa Graham of Truman, MN, Casey Shepperson of Black Hawk, and Cody of Houston, TX; one brother; five sisters; and numerous loving great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Becky Jean in 1955; her husband Melvin in 1999; her parents and five of her eleven siblings.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance. A memorial has been established to Crook County Long Term Care Center.
