Mary Jane Sally (Weber) Schuchardt, 63 of Spearfish, left this world for her next journey in life, on Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
Jane, as she was known as, was born to Leonard and Delores (Roth) Weber on August 26, 1951 in Parkston, SD. She attended SS Peter and Paul Catholic Parochial School, as well as the small "country school" just northeast of Dimock for a short time, before moving with her family to Miller, SD. Upon leaving Miller in 1962, the family moved to Spearfish, where Jane completed her elementary and high school education, graduating in 1969. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science Degree from Black Hills State College.
Jane married the love of her life, James "Jim" Schuchardt on August 19, 1972 in Spearfish. Throughout the years they had several "children" ranging from Brownie to Pedro, and lastly Romeo, who was named after her father's breakfast club (Retired Old Men Eating Out). Each and every pet brought such joy into her life and brightened each day tremendously. Aunt Jane, never having children of her own, was there for all her nieces and nephews and she was always interested in what they were involved in and could not have been more proud of each and every one of them and what they had achieved and accomplished throughout their lives.
Jane worked for Farmers Insurance Group for 34 years, as an office manager. She was very knowledgeable and good at what she did. She took care of every customer that walked through the door in her own unique way.
Jane enjoyed going for rides and she so loved shopping, for which she acquired many lovely items of interest throughout the years. She lived life to the fullest, until failing health fell upon her, which forced her into early retirement. Jane and Jim spent the last few years together and enjoyed each other's company, along with Romeo, until the end.
She is survived by her husband, James, Spearfish; sisters, Joyce (Kurt) Hall, Spearfish, Carol (Brian) Policky, N. Richland Hills, TX, Doris (Tom) Deis, Spearfish and Terri Ann (Marvin) Ward, Spearfish; brother, Mark (Terri Lynn) Weber, Spearfish; mother-in-law, Delores Schuchardt, Spearfish; sisters-in-law, Joy (Rick) Puthoff, Kennewick, WA and Rebecca (John) Hines, Wilburn, GA; brother-in-law, Gilbert (Joanne) Schuchardt, Spencer, SD; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
