Mary Racich, 77, a longtime Lead, SD, resident died on Thursday, April 26, 2007, after a lengthy illness at Belle Fourche Regional Senior Care in Belle Fourche, SD.

Mary was born on July 16, 1929 to Clarence and Amanda Eixenberger. Mary wed Paul Racich on May 29, 1948 and raised four children with him in Lead. Mary was an active participant in Lead's retail businesses, working for Scott's Apparel, Morcom's Apparel and Phoebe's Closet in later years. She also enjoyed part time employment at the City Library. Mary was active in Saint Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar Society for many years.
Mary is survived by one son, Joe Racich and his fiancé Lanae and her son Michael of Lead, three daughters; Nancy (Mike) McColley of Spearfish, Diane (Tom) Wagner of PA, and Susie (Paul) Holzhauer of Boulder, CO, three grandchildren; Shawn (Misty) McColley of Rapid City, SD, Becky Wagner of PA, and Tyson Racich of TX, and one great grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Mae of MN, on brother, Ken of CA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, and a sister, Shirley Bousard.
