Mary E. Pickerd, 72, of Gillette, WY died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at
Campbell County Memorial Hospital.

Mary was born and raised around Bayard, Iowa. She moved to
Spearfish, SD to attend BHSU. Mary moved to Sundance in 1964, she lived there until
the death of her husband Orville Pickerd, of 42 years, in August of 2006.
Following Orville's death Mary moved to Gillette to be closer to her family.

Mary is survived by her three sisters; Ruth Doty and Anna McCollum of Mt
Home, Arkansas, Charlotte Schad of Colorado, One daughter; Ellen (Bill)
Elsasser, of Gillette, Wyoming, Three step-daughters; Verla (Fritz) Hughes
of Black Hawk, South Dakota, Alice Hockett, of Wisconsin, and Patty
(Delbert) Bosua, of Bell Fouche, South Dakota, One step-son, Albert (Rita)
Pickerd, of Sundance, Wyoming and numerous grandchildren and great
grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Charlotte (Huss)
Palmer, her Husband, five sisters, two brothers, one step-son and one
grandson.

Family services will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, South Dakota.
