Obituary
Mary Lou Lower, 81, Spearfish, SD passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospice House.
Mary Lou was born July 27, 1932 to Ralph and Myrtle (Aaseth) Irish in Gayville, SD. She married Laton Lower in 1950 in Pierre, SD. She worked for the State of South Dakota and First National Bank, while raising her family in Pierre. She was a wonderful homemaker and a mother who put family first. In 1978, Laton and Mary Lou started traveling and eventually settle in Las Vegas, NV, where they enjoyed their later years of life. After Laton's death, Mary Lou returned to South Dakota to be closer to her children.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Lower, Pierre, Jeff Lower, Spearfish; daughter, Vicky (Rick) Wieczorek, Sturgis; two sisters, JoAnn Fluke, Oregon, Sharon Irish, California; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three sisters.
She was well loved and will be greatly missed. Memorials may be directed to Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospice House, 224 Elk Street, Rapid City, SD 57701.
Graveside Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Crematory Service of Spearfish.
