Obituary
Mary F. Lakso, 96, died June 7, 2010 at the Long Term Care Center in Belle Fourche, SD.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 14, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church northwest of Spearfish. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Spearfish.
She was born February 21, 1914, the oldest of three daughters born to Barney and Lydia (Malin) Otterbein. She attended school in Butte County and high school in Spearfish. She married John W. Lakso on September 17, 1934. They farmed at Arpan until moving to Belle Fourche in 1995. John died in 1999.
Mary is survived by three sons, John A. and wife Dolly of Acampo, CA, James B. of Orange, CA and Gordon E. and wife Lynn of Lafayette, CA . There are three grandchildren surviving, Cheryl Ravera, Bonnie Ramsdell Winchester, Rusty Freeman and seven great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were her sisters Freda (Bob) Proctor and Priscilla (Clifford) Slaybaugh.
