Mary Heisler, 76 of Spearfish, passed away on August 26, 2017 with her family by her side.

Mary was born on June 20. 1941 on the family farm near Kranzburg, SD to Anton and Bernice (Kranz) Dupont. She graduated from Waverly High School. She married Gary Heisler of Estelline, SD on January 19, 1963 and to this union they had four children.

They owned and operated a hardware store in Estelline until 1979 at which time they moved to Spearfish and purchased a hardware store. During their retirement years they travelled the country RVing.


She is survived by her husband Gary; daughters, Lynne Blackman, Sherrey Heisler (Brian Lewis) and Marcelle(Scott) Taylor; son, Todd (Pam) Heisler; seven grandchildren, Trevor Eppens, RaVae (Allen) Beck, Bret Heisler, Kimberlyn Heisler, Jillian Heisler, Autumn Taylor and Mitchell Taylor and three great-grandchildren, Chevy Eppens, Makenna Beck and Lacey Beck; siblings, Joan, Barb, Joe and Jolene. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Kathy, Antonette, Marge, Tony and Johnny.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10AM on Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish, visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.
