On Saturday February 22nd, 2025, Marva Joy (Willuweit) Ryther passed away in her home at the age of 77.  Marva was born October 11th 1947 in Gregory, SD.  She was the 13th of 16 children born to Julius and Leah (Stroh) Willuweit.

Marva married Robert Ryther June 9th 1973 to which three daughters completed the family.  She worked in various places throughout the Black Hills area.  Marva was devoted to her family and always kept busy.  Whenever there was a need, her home was opened up for many family members.  Loving people—Marva never knew a stranger—opening her home and her heart and even becoming affectionally called "mither" by one of her nephews.  She stepped up to hold many of the family together.  She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 12 brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews.  She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Ryther of Belle Fourche; daughters, Ronda and Keith Hendrickson of Alzada Montana, Mandie Ryther of Belle Fourche, Megan Siebenaller of Belle Fourche; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her brother, Harley and Delia Willuweit of Des Moines Iowa, Verdeen Davis of Rapid City, Barbara Stott of Deadwood, South Dakota, and over 188 nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews as of the last count.

A service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday March 6, 2025, at the First Congregational Church UCC in Belle Fourche, SD. Burial will follow the service at St. Onge Cemetery in St. Onge, SD.

Cremation arrangements were under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Isburg Crematory of Spearfish.
