IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marsha
Kramer
February 25, 1958 – July 29, 2021
On July 29, 2021, Marsha Ann Kramer passed away due to complications from advanced dementia in Summerville, SC at the age of 63.
Marsha was born February 25, 1958 to parents John and Madonna Muller as the only daughter of eight children. She grew up on a farm near Canton, SD where she developed a great love of all animals. After high school, she attended college at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. She acquired her bachelor's in Geological Engineering and met her husband Lin, but she would have a life full of learning, almost completing a Master's in Accounting, finishing a teaching accreditation and nearly adding a Master's in Education (that one was not her idea). She worked for many years as a reclamation and environmental engineer, before beginning to volunteer in the school system and eventually becoming a middle school teacher, with a soft spot for the mildly delinquent.
Marsha's love of animals was lifelong. There was always at least a dog in her life, but she was happiest when her home was full of dogs, cats & horses and would frequently tell the tales of their antics. In addition to caring for her critters, she loved reading and spending time outdoors camping, snowmobiling, horseback riding & perfecting the art of napping while holding a fishing pole. Late in life, she also adored spoiling her oldest granddaughter, Zoe.
Due to Lin's career, they lived in many different places throughout their marriage but she always managed to find the characters, probably due to her irreverent comments and solid repertoire of dirty jokes. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends that she touched throughout her life.
Marsha is survived by her husband Lin, her two daughters Andrea Kramer and Meredith Johnson, and three granddaughters, Zoe, Quinn, and Rory Egle.
