Mark Roth of Beaufort, SC, and formerly of Spearfish passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023, at MUSC in Charleston after a lengthy illness surrounded by his wife Mary, daughter Amanda, Justin, sister Toni, and longtime friend David Eneboe.

Mark was born August 7, 1951, in Sioux City, IA to Roy and June (Mansbridge) Roth. When he was 4, the family moved to Hawarden, IA. Mark attended school at West Sioux where he graduated in 1969. After graduation, he worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad then went on to further his education at Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City obtaining a degree in Architectural Drafting. Mark moved to Denver, CO in 1980 to begin work in the structural steel fabrication industry at Marshal Steel. Mark met his bride Mary in 1986 and they were married in 1988. They have a daughter Amanda, born in 1989. Mark and his family moved to Spearfish, SD in 2002 where he worked for Tru North Steel in Rapid City. In 2019, Mark and Mary moved to Beaufort SC.

Mark's favorite pastimes were golfing, photography, watching Iowa Hawkeyes, traveling, and spending time with his many friends and family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Mary; daughter Amanda (Justin); sister Toni (Bart) Schlumbohm; nieces Stacy Campbell, Wendy Best and their families. Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a celebration of life in the spring in Hawarden, IA.
