Mark Alan Emrick, 62, of Sundance, WY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday May 28, 2015.

He was born on October 05, 1952 in Greenville, OH to Alan and Doris Emrick. Mark spent his childhood and attended school in Greenville with his brother Neal. He spent the humid summers playing sports, taking family trips and riding motorcycles with his dad and brother. Mark later attended Hocking College in Nelsonville, OH where he met numerous lifelong friends and found his love for the great outdoors. Mark lived and worked in Traverse City, MI for a number of years after college. He loved living on Lake Michigan, however always dreamed of moving to the Wild West.

Mark moved to Sundance, WY in 1982 and started working for the NRCS. He loved spending time in the Black hills and shared that love with his children, Beth and Cody. Mark was a devoted and loving father who enjoyed spending time with his kids more than anything. As a family they spent many weekends camping, fishing and watching football. Mark also taught his children about the most important thing of all, classic rock. He had a love for music and the memories he created with his family are tied to it. In recent years, Mark found a love for spending time in the Philippines where he enjoyed snorkeling and getting away from the cold Wyoming winters.


Mark will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his mother Doris Emrick. He is survived by his father, Alan Emrick of Ohio, his brother, Neal (Mary Ann) Emrick of Ohio, his daughter Beth (Dylan) Emrick of WI, his son Cody Emrick of MN and extended family.

Per Marks spirituality and wishes, family will be at Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance on Tuesday, June 2 from 2-4 PM to receive condolences. In lieu of flowers, please take a moment to brighten someone's day by committing an act of kindness.
