Marion W. Cutler, 79 of Lead, SD passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2020.
He was born on October 15, 1940 at Silver City, SD to W. Ernest and Violet (Cooper) Cutler. He was attended school in Silver City and graduated from Lead High School in 1958. Soon after graduation he enlisted in the Army. While in the Army he completed second Chemical Laboratory procedures class in 1964 at Ft McCellan Alabama. After his discharge from the Army in 1965, he returned to Lead where he began his logging career until he retired. Even after retirement he would spend his days having coffee with his friends and hike in the woods where he love it the most.
He is survived by his sister, Wilma Rhoades of Custer; sister-in-law Jean Cutler of Kansas and June Watt, of South Carolina; nieces and nephews, Lavonna (Steve Maines) Rowlette, Theron (Merideth) Cutler, Lance (Susie) Cutler and Lyler (Angie) Cutler; great nieces and nephews, Chris, Jesse, Nick Rowlette, Terra Cutler, Gage and Ella Cutler, Megan, Cody and Zane Cutler; cousins, Richard Cooper and Pattie Cooper; and his many friends in Lead, Deadwood and Central City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W. Ernest and Violet Cutler; brothers, LeRoy, LeLand, Forrest, Neil and Gale; sister, Margorie; brother-in-law, James Rhoades; sister-in-law, Florence Cutler; cousin, James Cooper; uncles, Earl Cooper, Floyd Cooper; great-nephew, Tyler Rowlette.
Inurnment will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery on August 28, 2020.
