Obituary
Marilyn L. Bader, age 77, of Sycamore, IL and formerly of Spearfish, SD died Friday, October 27, 2017, at her home.
Marilyn was born to Austin and Dorothy (Crane) Blackwell in Seattle, Washington on July 22, 1940. She grew up in Seattle and Spokane, Washington and Glendale, California where she graduated from Glendale High School in 1958. She graduated from Hollywood Presbyterian School of Nursing and became a registered nurse in 1962.
She was united in Marriage to Orin Bader on March 15, 1962 in Glendale, California. In 1963 they moved to Sisseton, South Dakota, where they owned and operated Bader Funeral Home for over 22 years. After living in Fargo, North Dakota for a time, they retired to Spearfish, South Dakota in 1997 and moved to Sycamore, Illinois in 2013.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Orin; two daughters, Beth and Judi; a son, Jesse; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service for Marilyn, will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish, SD.
Memorials can be made to the donor's charity of choice in Marilyn Bader's name.
