Margery H. Chatfield

Margery Chatfield passed away on Friday, August 21, 2009 at the age of 86 at the Crook County Nursing Home in Sundance, WY. Margery was born to George and Iola (Sloan) Graham on March 27, 1923 in Custer, MT. Margery married Charles "Chipper" Chatfield on August 16, 1943 in Hardin, MT. Chipper and Margery made their home at the Chatfield Ranch west of Sundance. Margery loved sewing, cooking, gardening, and taking care of her family. She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star, Electa Chapter #5 in Sundance, WY. She is survived by her husband Chipper, children; Eva (Elvin) Rush, Ed (Bernie) Chatfield, and Nancy (John) Thorn. She is also survived by her siblings, Mabel Foltz, Billings, MT, Joe (Eunice) Graham and Buck (Edith) Graham. Margery was the precious grandmother of eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lester and Lee Graham, sister Betty Richards, granddaughter Lisa (Willey) Gibbs and great granddaughter G. Jaidyn Gibbs.

Memorial services will be at 12:00p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Church of Christ, 369 West Hwy 14, in Sundance, inurnment will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established to the wheelchair fund for Colleen Comer. Memorials will be accepted at the Sundance State Bank, PO Box 950, Sundance, WY 82729. Colleen has been a resident with Margery in the nursing home and the family always looked forward to her smile and sharp wit while visiting.
