Margaret Beagle, 102, of Sundance, WY, died Wednesday, May 06, 2009 at Sundance Assisted Living.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Sundance Methodist Church, with Reverend JoAnne Moore officiating, inurnment will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Sundance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Sundance Senior Citizens at PO Box 85, Sundance, WY 82729.
Margaret was born April 16, 1907 on Baugh Ranch (now Keyhone Ranch) along the Belle Fourche River to Harvey and Kate (Hunter) Swartz. After 3 ½ years of high school she entered nursing school in Casper, WY, and earned her certificate. She worked for a short time in Casper and Gillette. Margaret married George Beagle on January 1, 1930. The couple lived on cattle ranches, operated a gas station at Carlile Camp, WY, and moved to Sundance in 1942. There she continued her nursing career until she retired. During her lifetime she was recognized for her many accomplishments. Margaret was very patriotic and had her flag flying every day during her residence at the assisted care center.
Margaret is survived by her three children; Larry (Shirley) Beagle of Rapid City, SD, Tom Beagle and Norma (Harold "Nubs") Bernd both of Sundance, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren, one sister, Opal Merrell of Meridian, ID, and one brother, Raymond Swartz of Mesa, AZ.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband George, two sisters, three brothers and a granddaughter, Kelley.
