Obituary

Marc Allen Haynes, 69 of Upton, WY passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at 1:05am at his home.

Marc was born on October 4th 1945 in Chamberlain, SD to Marjorie Beach and Henry Allen Haynes. He moved to Knoxville, TN upon his father's return, from his wartime duty station in Guam during WWII. At the age of ten, Marc returned to Chamberlain with his mother after his parent's divorce in 1955. He attended Chamberlain High School and graduated in 1963. After graduation he joined the Army National Guard and attended basic training in Fort Collins, CO. On January 30th 1965, Marc married Diane Heinrich in Chamberlain. He worked various jobs, including driving for combine crews in Oklahoma and Texas, and driving cattle and gravel trucks, until he opened his own business, Marc's Mobile in 1970 in Chamberlain. In 1973 and 1974 he worked as a mechanic for the Chevrolet and Ford garages.

In 1975, Marc moved his family to Upton, WY, where he worked for Ed Beck's Construction for five years. He began working in the coal mines in 1980. After a 32 year coal mining career, he retired October 1st 2012.

Marc was a devoted husband and loving father. He enjoyed time with his family, especially quiet evenings at home with his wife, Diane. He enjoyed the outdoors, with most of his free time being spent outside. His hobbies included camping, fishing, gardening and working on various projects in his garage.

Marc is survived by his wife, Diane Haynes of Upton, WY; their eight children, Marnie (Randy) Hall of Casper, WY, Lexie (Brian) Yarrington of Thermopolis, WY, Angela Haynes of Rapid City, SD, Nicole (Daryl) Blakeman of Rapid City, SD, Mitchell Haynes of Wright, WY, Michael (Amy) Haynes of Fort Collins, CO, Daneil (Travis) Cundall of Casper, WY and Ashley (Brandon) Sprigler of Casper, WY; eleven grandchildren; brother, Merrill (Karen) Haynes of Sioux Falls, SD and three nephews.

Marc was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Virgil Nelson and his grandparents.

Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 6pm, Friday, January 16 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Upton.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30am, Saturday, January 17 at the church. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Upton.
