Lucio Reyes Sr., age 80, passed away on November 15, 2025, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Born on March 5, 1945, in Santa Maria Del Oro, Durango, Mexico, Lucio lived a life marked by dedication to his work and deep love for his family.
Lucio built a long-standing career in car detailing, working at a car dealership where he took great pride in his craft. His attention to detail and strong work ethic earned him respect from colleagues and customers alike. He was known not only for the quality of his work but also for the warmth and humor he brought to the workplace.
Outside of work, Lucio found joy in spending time with his family. He especially loved lively gatherings filled with music, food, and beer—moments that reflected his vibrant spirit and love for celebration. He had an infectious sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or a smile to lift the spirits of those around him. Even during difficult times, Lucio made it a point to bring light into the lives of others.
Lucio’s legacy is carried on by his son, Lucio Reyes Jr., and his grandchildren: Angel Reyes, Martin Reyes, Selena Reyes, and John Reyes. He was deeply loved by them all and played an important role in their lives. In his later years, he was lovingly cared for by his grandson Angel—a testament to the strong bonds he nurtured within his family.
Lucio will be remembered as a man who worked hard, laughed often, and gave generously of himself. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire love and laughter for generations to come.
