Obituary

Louise Darlow Noren, 95 of Spearfish died Monday, September 1, 2008 at Spearfish Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday, September 8, 2008 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish with Pastor Dar Berkenpas officiating. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.

A memorial has been established to benefit Hospice of the Northern Hills of Spearfish. Condolences may be sent to: 340 West Hudson, Spearfish, SD 57783

Louise was born July 10, 1913 in Winfred, SD to George and Bessie (Weld) Darlow. She grew up on the family farm in Winfred, until the death of her father, at that time the family moved to Salem, SD. Louise moved the Black Hills in 1933. She married Lawrence J. Noren on July 14, 1934. To this union three children were born; Lawrence Jr. "Larry", Mary "Dolly" and Lorraine. Louise then attended and graduated from Green's Beauty School in 1947. She worked as a beautician for a number of years, before purchasing the Spearfish Laundry, which she owned and operated for eighteen years. After selling her business she worked part-time as a beautician at the Dorsett Home Beauty Shop, retiring at the age of 72.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, son Larry, daughter-in-law Gerry, two infant granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Louise is survived by two daughters, Mary "Dolly" (Clinton) Anderson of Nixa, MO and Lorraine (Edward) Figueroa of Olivet, MI, nine grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
