Loretta "Lory" was born on October 13, 1935 to Edwin and Doris (Orde) Hathorn in Gordon, NE. She grew up in the Sandhills of Nebraska until the age of 12 when her family moved to Whitewood, SD. Lory married Leslie Wayne Pribble on November 8, 1952 at the age of 17. The couple moved to California where Les was stationed in the United States Navy. She stayed with her parents in Whitewood while Les was deployed. After he was discharged from the service they moved to Deadwood for a few years before moving to Spearfish in 1958 where they have lived and raised their family.

Lory's passion in life was her family. She stayed at home with her two daughters and opened her home to all of the neighborhood children. She served as a Brownie leader, a Sunday school teacher and was very active in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives. Lory loved the great outdoors and wildlife and her greatest passion in life was camping and fishing with her family. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidery and other crafts and she taught these skills to her children and grandchildren. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was supportive of all that they did.

Lory fought a long and valiant battle with diabetes, heart disease, lung disease and kidney failure. She did this with the love and support of her husband and family and never complained or lost faith. Lory's family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Bailey, Dr. Everson, the Spearfish Ambulance Crew, and the staff at Spearfish Regional Hospital, Regional Dialysis Center and Hospice of the Northern Hills.

Loretta is survived by her husband Leslie Wayne Pribble of Spearfish, two daughters, Marcella "Marcy" Diane Frye of Sioux Falls, SD, and Linda Lou (Sidney) Foltz of Spearfish, two brothers, Leslie (Deborah) Hathorn of Lusk, WY, and Gary (Barbara) Hathorn of Ceres, CA, 4 grandchildren: Heath (Stacey) Frye of Sioux Falls and their two children, Kaden and Ashlynne, Danielle (Christopher) Villano of Jacksonville, FL, Elise Foltz and Glenn (Kelsie) Foltz all of Spearfish and numerous nieces and nephews. Lory was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Virginia Pendley in 1995.
