Larry Gene Berger, 64, of Oshoto, WY, died on June 21, 2012 at his home.
Larry was born in Sundance, WY on August 4, 1947 to Harry and Montana (Wagoner) Berger. He was raised in the Oshoto area, graduating from Moorcroft High School. After graduation Larry joined the U.S. Army and served for two years in the Vietnam War. After returning home he worked as a roughneck for B & B Murphy Drilling Company. He then went to Great Western School of Auctioneering in Billings. He then began ranching in the Oshoto Area. Larry married Sara Ruiz on January 31, 1971.
He enjoyed country music, and driving fellow veterans to the VA for medical appointments. He also enjoyed helping his neighbors and never turned one down when asked for help. He was supportive of 4-H and FFA programs.
Survivors include his wife Sara, sons, Robert Lee and John Henry, daughter, April R. all of Oshoto; and brother, Jerry A. Berger of Springfield, MO; brother-in-law, Jimmy Donald Proctor of Hulett; uncle, Junior Ed Wagoner of Glenrock, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia Gail Proctor.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Greater Hulett Community Center in Hulett. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Oshoto with a luncheon for follow at the Oshoto Community Church. A memorial has been established to the Hulett Roping Club of Hulett.
