Lachlan Jon Edwards was born June 21, 2007 in Sioux Falls, to parents David and Brianne Edwards. He died peacefully in his sleep on May 12, 2008.

Vigil services will be at 6:30 P.M., Friday, May 16, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Spearfish, Visitation will be held from 5:00P.M until the time of the Vigil service at the church on Friday.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 17, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Spearfish with Father Tim Hoag as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish. A prayer service will also be held in Sioux Falls at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

A memorial has been established.

He is survived by his parents; his brother, Westin; his grandparents Dawn and Edward Edwards of Spearfish and LeAnn and Lloyd Vette of Spearfish; his great-grandparents Jay and Francis Olson of Hill City and Leo McGuigan of Spearfish; his aunts and uncles Shaun and Jeny Edwards of Wichita, KS, Bryan and Kellie Edwards of Cody, WY, Tim and Christine Lambert of Spearfish, Kevin and Lindsay Edwards of Omaha, NE, Tori Vette of Minneapolis, MN, and Randy Vette of Spearfish; as well as 15 first-cousins.

In his short time with us he was loved deeply by many. He was a happy baby with an infectious smile. He loved to play ball, make animal sounds, dance, listen to loved-ones on the phone, play peek-a-boo with his daddy, snuggle with his mommy and share belly laughs with his brother. He will be held closely in our hearts forever.
