Kenneth "Kenny" James Morris, 46, of Sundance, Wyoming passed away Thursday, March 31st 2011, in Sundance.
Kenny was born September 24th, 1964 to James L. and Vina (Montgomery) Morris at Belle Fourche, SD. He was married in 1991 to Deborah Hlavka and they had three children, a son Ben, a son Shannon, and a daughter Jeri Lynn.
Kenny went to Sundance Elementary School until 1976 when his family moved to Worland, WY where he graduated from Worland High School in 1983. After graduation from high school Kenny attended Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie, WY, receiving his Certification School in Auto Mechanics two years later.
Kenny was very active in Boy Scouts for many years, with his Dad by his side as troop leader. He was also active in 4H and helped with diabetic camps in the summers during his younger years.
Kenny was diagnosed with juvenile type diabetes when he was 2 yrs old and has fought a courageous battle with this disease for 44 years.
Kenny enjoyed being involved and helping each of his children with baseball games, attended a lot of track meets, basketball, and volley ball games in support of his children.
Kenny worked at a number of professions over the years including selling vacuum cleaners, mechanic, auto detailer, carpenter, and general laborer. For a time he had his own business as a roofing contractor in the Worland area.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Deborah "Deb", sons, Benjamin Lee and Shannon Joe and daughter Jeri Lynn all of Sundance; mother and stepfather, Vina and Ben Morris of Newcastle, WY, brother, Louis (Debbie) Morris, Florence, Mt., sisters; Doris Backus, Billings, MT, Wanda (Gary) Hulit, Laramie, WY and Shelly Morris, Sheridan, WY.
He was preceded in death by father James "Jim" Morris, infant brother Larry and infant niece Sara, Grandparents Kenneth and Betty Montgomery and Ben and Edna Morris.
A memorial has been established for his children and the community of Sundance.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 PM April 7th 2011 at the Sundance United Methodist Church.
