Kelly Roberts, age 30, of Spearfish born June 19, 1978, died this past Sunday August 17th in Spearfish. Survivors include his mother Georgia Roberts of Spearfish, his father Donald Roberts of Sturgis, his brother Troy Roberts and wife Lindsey along with his nephew and niece, Dylan and Alora, and his sister Tamie Roberts and her husband Rob Moskowitz of Nashville, TN, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends that he thought the world of.
Kelly was a man very much devoted to his family and friends. Always stopping by his mom's house and asking if she needed anything or what he could do for her. The same gesture was applied to his many family and friends. Kelly very much enjoyed the outdoors and everything that God had provided for him. Always riding shotgun was his ever-so-loyal dog 'Babe', who has been by his side since Jr. High School. Kelly proudly served in the 842 National Guard unit with which he spent 18 months in Iraq.
Kelly was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Florence Kapsa, and Raymond and Nelly Roberts, all of Spearfish.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been set up at the Zellweger Baby Support Network (www.zbsn.org) located at 530 West Jackson Blvd here in Spearfish, and college funds that will be established for Kelly's nephew best buddy Dylan and niece, the precious princess Alora.
