Kathleen "Kathy" Kay Culver, 59, Spearfish, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Spearfish Regional Hospital.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spearfish. Inurnment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.

Kathy was born March 9, 1958 to Leland and Virginia (Hargens) Klunder. Kathy grew up in Lead and graduated from Lead High School in 1976. She later married Kim Culver, May 1978 and graduated from nursing school in 1980. She and Kim later opened up their hearts to their two children, Kassondra and Kjay.

Kathy's passion was helping people, she touched so many lives over the 35 years that she worked as a nurse. Over the past years, she was a Paramedic and a member of the Lawrence County Search and Rescue.

Kathy loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending her time with family and friends and special light of her life was her granddaughter, Aurorah.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband Kim; her children, Kassondra and Kjay, Spearfish; brothers and sisters, Marty (Russ) Miracle, Hermosa, SD, Ken (Deb) Klunder, Palmer, AK, Kevin (Bonnie) Klunder, Spearfish, Karla (Harry) Brist, Cabot, AR, Kurtis (Nancy) Klunder, Black Hawk, SD, Dean Culver, Deadwood; mother-in-law Maxine Culver, Deadwood; nieces and nephews, Becky (Kevin) Henderson and Andrew (Traci) Grgich, Gilbert, AZ; Tobi (Kevin) Edmonds, Wasilla, AK, Amanda (Dave) Adams, Palmer, AK, Kristopher Klunder, Kyler Klunder, Spearfish, Anthoney (Nicole) Klunder, Vermillion SD, Andrew Klunder, Black Hawk, Lei Ann Brist and Aaron Brist, Cabot, AR; great nieces and nephews, Jace, Kade, Nova, Daisy, Chloe and Colton and uncle, Marvin (Nancy) Hargens of Rapid City.

Kathy was welcomed in heaven by her parents, Leland and Virginia Klunder; and father-in-law, Charles Culver.
