Kathie May Fels (née Dickensheets), 75, died on December 6, 2025, in Sundance, Wyoming, after a brief illness. 

She was born on April 19, 1950, in Bozeman, Montana, to Bryce and Lillian Dickensheets. Kathie spent her working years in service and clerical roles before retiring. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and had a deep love of music, with favorites ranging from The Beatles and the Moody Blues to Def Leppard and Melissa Etheridge. She will be remembered as a generous and kind person, a thoughtful listener, and someone of both strong will and a sense of humor. 

She is survived by her three children, Sean Wick, Heather Gray, and Clifton Fels; by her three grandchildren, Bryce, Ethan, and Elijah; and by her sister, Gayle Pruitt, and her brother, Kevin Dickensheets. She was predeceased by her grandchild, Molly, and by her sibling, Jill Dickensheets. 

Growing up in Livingston, Montana, Kathie once hoped to become a teacher. Though this was not her profession, she taught by example the value of hard work, curiosity, laughter, and creativity. Above all, she loved her family.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
