Obituary
Kassandra R. Worsech, 28 of Spearfish died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Hospice House in Rapid City.
Kassie was born June 10, 1983 in Sioux Falls, SD, and arrived in the Worsech family on July 20, 1983, when she was adopted by David and Sarah. Kassie was baptized in August 1983 in an outdoor service near the Painter School, north of Buffalo, SD. She spent her first three years as the Fairpoint community baby. Her baptism was later confirmed in Winner, SD at Hope Lutheran Fellowship on May 11, 1997. Kassie joined the Girl Scouts in the fourth grade and remained active through her high school years, earning the Girl Scout Silver Award in 1998. She graduated from the Winner High School in 2001, having participated in band, playing the flute, chorus, FCCLA, drama, volleyball and ICF. During her high school years she also kept busy working at McDonalds and Taco Johns. In 2004 Kassie became a resident of Northern Hills Training Center in Spearfish. Among Kassie's accomplishments was having had the opportunity to travel to Paris, France and being the winner of the Inaugural 2010 Spirit of the Hills Award. Kassie enjoyed reading, movies, family pets, shopping, bling, shoes and social activities. She also attended Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Spearfish.
Survivors include her father, David (Karen) Worsech of Mission, SD and her mother, Sarah Nelson of Winner, SD, brother, Luke (Mirranda) Worsech; grandparents, Virginia Nelson, Ramona Worsech, John Worsech, Don and Bernetta Misiewicz; aunts and uncles Philip (Kathy) Nelson, Prisicilla Nelson, Becky (Wayne) Ortloff, Tracy Worsech, Arvid Worsech, and Alex (Irene) Misiewicz; nieces and nephews, Kylie, Zachary, Benjamin, Sylvia, Jael, and Ananias Worsech; step-brothers and step-sisters, Keith Snethen, Matthew Snethen, Dawna (Felix) Provancial and Mirranda Worsech; step-niece, Angelina Provancial. Preceded in death by her brother Zachary Worsech.
Memorial Services for Kassandra will be 1:00 PM, Friday, February 17, 2012 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Spearfish.
