Obituary

Karin Elizabeth Turbiville, 55 of Deadwood, passed away quietly in her sleep May 16th, 2018.
She was born in Austin, Texas on November 2nd, 1962. Karin attended Southwest College in Austin, TX and later graduated from Crown College in Minnesota with her degree in Education.

Karin held many positions in life as an educator, coach, manager, and director, but the position she was most proud of was mother. As a single mom, she raised her two sons, Lance and Ronnie, and as they grew into men with families she would share her pride, joy, and love with all who would listen.

Karin had a special way of making everyone she met feel special. She always had a hug waiting for anyone she knew. Her friends and family know they carry a piece of Karin with them because of all the hugs she gave. She brought joy and sunshine everywhere she went. Karin enjoyed reading, playing golf, traveling to see family and laughing over a glass of wine.

Karin is survived by her husband, Rich Turbiville, sons, Ronnie and Lance Prado, step daughter, Jessica and step son, Eli, daughter in laws, Taylor and Alayna, grandchildren; Adelyn, Oliver, Payton, mother, Mimi Rhea and step-father, Charles Rhea, sister, Carla Havins (Donnie, Kasey, Kaylie) and brother, Scott Lunday (Taylor, Abby).

Memorial services will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.
