Obituary
Karen C. Hanson, 67, Spearfish, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital.
Karen was born on April 28, 1945 to Karl and Leota (Mosher) Webb in Deadwood, SD. She grew up in the Lead-Deadwood area and graduated from Lead High School. She married Percy Hanson in 1964 and to this union three children were born. They lived in Central City for many years before moving to Spearfish where she lived until the time of her death.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel in Lead. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Deadwood.
Survivors include her daughters, Joy (Rich) Wilczynski, Lead and Susan (Rob) Varner, Spearfish; son Patrick Hanson; step-son, Jim Hanson; grandchildren Nick, Blade, Jacob W. Nathan and Jacob H.; step-grandchildren Christopher, Christeen, and Michael; and brother, Karl Webb, Deadwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Percy in 2005 and step-daughter, Sally.
