Justin Robert Bachelor 23, also affectionately known as "J.R." and "Meliora" passed away November 30th, 2016, in Spearfish, SD. He was born August 26th, 1993, to Randy and Shelly Bachelor in Valentine, NE.

He graduated from White River high school in 2012. He attended Black Hills State University where he was actively involved in the BHSU's Enactus charitable organization and was a fierce advocate for those who needed a voice. His love for cats, chocolate, and cooking were well known far and wide.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Bachelor. He is survived by his parents Randy and Shelly; sisters, Jen (Hans) Johnson and son Gunnar of Belle Fourche, Jamie (Nick) DeGeest and children, Kazlyn, Makaen, and Kooper of Rapid City, SD; grandparents, Muriel Bachelor of Rapid City, Bob and Rita Barnard of Germantown Hills, IL. and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His light was admirable, his humor was amazing, and his laugh was beautiful.

There will be a private family ceremony at the Bachelor Ranch on December 5th at 11:00AM. Please join the family for lunch and a time to share memories of J. R. at the Methodist Church in White River, SD at 1:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to help with final expenses.
