Judith "Judy" Kay Jeffries, 67 of Spearfish passed away on Friday, August 03, 2012 with her daughter and family by her side.

Judy was born on May 29, 1945 to Gordon and Lois (Cooper) Harr in Redfield, SD. After graduating from high school in 1963, she married Daniel Bancroft on September 19, 1964 in Redfield. During their 19 years of marriage two children were born, Lisa and Ross. She was blessed with a second love, Larry Jeffries, and they were married on May 30, 1987. During their marriage they lived in the Black Hills area primarily in Spearfish, Coeur d'Alene & Kellogg, ID, Spokane, WA, the Green River, Little America and Rock Springs, WY areas and Gillette WY.

Judy's greatest passion in her life was her family who she was always present and available for. She devoted much of her time as a caregiver to her parents and son. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, loved shopping, dining out, movies, NASCAR and her puppies. Her work expertise included sales, marketing, real estate, dispatching and customer service.

Judy battled two forms of cancer, multiple myeloma with amyloidosis, battling to the end with strength, courage, and dignity; her smile truly lit up a room when she entered it, she was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Jeffries, daughter, Lisa (Curtis) Schmuck, son, Ross Bancroft, mother, Lois Harr, grandchildren, Chandler and Hunter, brother, Rich (Gloria) Harr, sister, Pam (Chris) Rogers all of Spearfish, step-daughter, Jennie (Paul) Anderson, and step-grandchildren Luke and Lizzie all of Custer. Judy was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Harr.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Countryside Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Northern Hills.
