Juanita Hilda (Vitto) Thomas, 87 of Hulett, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on August 5, 2013. She was born the fourth of eleven children to Wolly and Catherine (Giachino) Vitto on the family ranch outside of Alva, WY on June 14, 1926. She attended school at Lame Jones, Casper, Sundance and Spearfish.

She met the love of her life in September of 1946 in Spearfish, and they were married 30 days later. This marriage lasted 52 years, until Millard's death in December of 1998. Millard and Juanita had seven children, Duane of Desert Springs, AZ, Daryle of Douglas, WY, Karl of Scenic, AZ, LuAnne (Tom) Bender of Ely, NV, Mark (Carol) of Pine Haven, WY, Keith of Douglas, WT, and Brenda of Hulett, WY.

Millard and Juanita enjoyed many years as "snowbirds" spending winters at Lake Meade in NV. After Millard's death, Juanita spent her winters with LuAnne and Tom, and summers with Brenda. She enjoyed Rebekkah Lodge, the PBR – attending several national finals in Las Vegas, gardening, and music. She loved spending time with family and friends, and her little poodle, Peaches.

She is survived by her children, 26 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren; her first great-great-grandchild is due in October, 2013. She is also survived by four sisters, Darleen, Sallie, Mary, and Rosanna; three brothers, Deloy, Harry, and Donnie; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. She was loved by many, and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, granddaughter, Gina (Thomas) Thar, grandson, Levi Thomas, sisters, Sylvia and Madeline, brother, Gene, and a daughter-in-law Dorie.

Memorial services will be Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hulett. A private burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD. Memorials may be directed to either the Hulett EMS or the Levi Thomas Memorial.
