Joshua Douglass Adams, 37, of Spearfish, SD passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024.

Josh came into this world on June 11, 1987 on a warm day in Houston, TX to Tom and Julie Adams.  He grew up in Richmond, TX till 2000.  He then moved to Colorado where he attended junior High and part of high school.  In 2003, the family moved to Spearfish and he graduated from Spearfish High School.

He loved animals, adventure and helping whenever he could.  He played soccer in elementary school, football in junior high and learned to rollerblade but he really enjoyed skateboarding. As an adult he would take off with his dog skateboarding around town.  After graduating high school, he began working as a mechanic at a local dealership and later began working on the big machines at the Wyoming mines.  During this time, he welcomed his son into this world. He loved spending time with his son.

He is survived by his son, Owen Adams; his brother, Jacob Adams; his parents, Tom and Julie Adams all of Spearfish; grandparents, Roger and Bev Casey of Blessing, TX, aunts, Cynthia Keihl of Tellico Plains, TN, Rebecca Czarnek of Spring, TX, Hope Warner of Houston, TX; Uncle Mike and Aunt Yvonne Casey of Friendswood, TX; and many cousins.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Annie Adams; grandmother, Elle May Casey; aunts Valerie Safranski and Victoria Christian.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1120 N 5th Street in Spearfish.
