Jolene (Percevich) Rantapaa, 52, Deadwood, SD passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of January 15, 2014 at her home in Deadwood, SD.
Jolene was born March 20, 1961 to John and Helen (Blaschko) Percevich in Deadwood, where she was raised and was proud to call it her home. She was a graduate of Lead High School and received her degree from National University in Rapid City. Jolene married Kurt Rantapaa on October 13th, 1984 and had three beautiful daughters. Jolene was a fixture in the community, attending sporting events (always cheering on the home team), town functions, celebrations and offering support to anyone who may have needed it. Jolene was passionate about the outdoors, hunting, and the beauty of the Black Hills. Jolene lived her life fully every day and loved her family; she was an extraordinary Wife, Mom, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend and will be missed by all that knew her.
Jolene is survived by her husband Kurt; her three daughters, Jenna, Tassy and Jett; parents, John and Helen Percevich; her four siblings, Steve, Greg, Mike and Jonna and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and surrogate children that she loves dearly.
Please join us in celebrating her life at St. Patrick's Church in Lead on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 PM for visitation followed by a vigil service at 7:00 PM. We would love to have all family and friends join us to share stories of Jolene's beautiful life. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday January 20, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Church in Lead followed by a luncheon and burial service at Mountain Meadows Cemetery.
