John William "Bill" Whalen Jr., 73, of Aladdin, Wyoming passed away at home Sunday evening, February 9, 2020.

Bill was born May 10, 1946 to John and Elizabeth Whalen. He attended the one room school at Aladdin grades 1-8, graduated from Sundance High in 1964 and attended community college in Powell, Wyoming. Bill served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. He loved ranching and spent his life working on the Whalen ranch alongside family and friends.

Surviving Bill are wife Sandy, daughters, Sabrina (Frank) Mitchell and Samantha (Jake) Mitchell, grandchildren, Dominic and Danielle, sister Grace (Hank Reese), brother, George (Jeanne), various nieces and nephews, special cousin, Charles Pearson, as well as numerous friends and faithful dog, Pokey.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Moose Lodge in Belle Fourche, SD.

A memorial has been established to benefit the Aladdin Fire Hall.
